My time at the Medina was seriously relaxing. The staff were helpful, and friendly. Convidiently located, walking distance to shops, markets and riverside wharf. View was beautiful. Loved the sauna, even had myself a massage. I can't wait for my next weekend getaway. :) The only negetive was the hot water in the shower only lasted for 2mins. :(
The only negetive was the 2mins of hot mater in the shower. :(
Convenient for functions in the city
Restaurant was not available for the evening meal.
We had a one bed appartment over looking the river was excelent ,would be very happy to stay there again.
the view from the spa on the roof is amazing !
Sevice and meals were fantastic.
the staff at the receptions desk were particularly helpful
I was sorry I didn't book a river view room
The river view room is very nice. Close to downtown. 10~15 minutes walking distance to shopping area.
Location, comfort and cleanliness were very important to us. Also a nice view of the city and river were very pleasant.
The maintenance man was doing his job thoroughly, but I notices that his shirt collar was so worn out that it showed a big section of white material. The armpit area had been repaired with a different colour material to the shirt. This made me think that the hotel is maybe not doing so well if they can't afford decent uniforms for their staff.
My husband and I loved the location which was on the edge of the centre of Brisbane (right by the start of the rRiver Walk) and the view from our one bedroom appartment was stunning. We specifically chose the Medina in order to be able to catch up on washing during our long trip - the laundry facilities in the apartment were perfect for that purpose.
Good staff - check in and restaurant, pleasant rooms, good bed
expensive internet gym very limited
Front desk is a face of venue. If they don't have a friendly smile, it will ruin the venue's reputation. They need to be more professional and learn how to smile at guests and talk to guests. I had a couple of staff when I arrived. actually, I had to remind them how to say "please" at the end of the sentence. I wasn't feeling that I am a paying customer. If I had staff with a great attitude, I will already feel I am welcomed.
We had a problem with the A/C in our original room but Heath from reception got it sorted and moved us to another room which was an upgrade at not charge. We thought the staff were fantastic and very friendly especailly Heath. 4th time staying here and we will be back.
we loved all about yur hote, it was so near city just walking distance, had marvelous views of all water city bridge boats ,also the staff was magnificent, room was so lovely only next time would like to stay mybe 1 or 2 floors above but in same position, met some nice people & had beautiful breaky every day the front office was always on hand to help & assist us so we would definately stay again there thanks for a wonderful stay mae & trev ps later we will send you some piks
only 1 thing we would like to have is a good airconditioner,as even after they fix was just cool so that is all
Nice, central location. Close to city and valley area. Beautiful view of the storey bridge from the balcony. Excellent value for money especially the rate for parking compared to the other hotels.
A bit complicated to find at first when driving to the venue and when leaving ... But as a positive, it does make it safer and quieter due to less traffic in the area considering its in the Brisbane cbd.
The room was exactly what was promissed.
